Would anyone in the thread be willing to post an in-cab driving video? or link to one if they're out there..

I'm trying to get an idea of how realistic this engine/trans combo would be for me(2.7 4X4 5mt). Unfortunately there are only TRDs and Autos in my area, not even an Access cab to check out.

Cross posted in bearded thread too.

    Thanks!

Stun Gun - Are those tires 265/75s? Either way they look bigger than stock. I'm starting to think about how i want to upgrade my tires on my utility 5 spd and am curious how those ride + mpg. I'm in the middle of a roadtrip from kansas to NorCal and have been loving my SR. Had to get down to 3rd gear to get over some passes in colorado today but that was as expected. Anyway, just would like to know how the tires perform on the 4 cyl.

I was able to test drive one finally, I am 3yrs out of practice w/MT but I had a tough time driving it smoothly. It seemed to fall on its face between shifts, like it had a loaded trailer behind.

I drove a 6MT after, it drove much nicer and the added Power forgave my poor shifts. Now I'm even more unsure of which to get

The sun musta got to them down in Florida.

This truck is here in Wisconsin.

    I was quoted $ 25,077 for it.

That offer came in the day after I bought my 34000 mile 2011 reg cab 4x4.

But, with all the transmission complaints, I think I might be better off with what I have.

I know it fits in my garage better.

265/75/16. I don't pay attention to mpg's. I know with my at3's I had on prior the ride was smooth, quiet, and I was getting 290 miles out of a tank, and I shift at 3500. Now I have these stt pro's, loud as fuck (compared to the at3's), and I'm sure my mpg's took a hit but by the way I drive if I really cared I would slow it down. And I kinda don't, because I have a lot of fun driving the way I drive. Don't sweat the small stuff. A few miles per gallon, fuck it.

Also, I've been through Colorado with a 4 cyl Tacoma, it's a beast. I had to shift into third with a 5 lug on 31's, I can't see having to do that with the gearing on this truck though, it's been plenty powerful on the hills out here but again Colorado is a whole nother story. I'll have to try it.

Front Air Dam removal. 3"/2" lift. Snugtop canopy. Heavy Bed mat. 265/75R16 Goodyear Duratracs. Intermittent wiper install. Hondo radio knobs. Clazzio leather seat covers with seat heaters. Shapeways brand cubbyhole 2 switch plate install. Weather Tech floor mats
Just bought a new SR DC 4x4 about 3 weeks ago. V6 AT, Cruise control, Towing package. Put a new Snugtop canopy, bed mat, 265/75R16 Dura Tracs, sill protectors, weather tech mats, and I have a new intermittent wiper control on the way here. Lift is here too. Getting put on next week. Going to use these wheels and tires for winter. Trying to decide what alloys to put on with some different tires for the summer.

    Haha best answer right there!

You are right about that, but I am still leaning towards the SR and just getting more seat time with it. It really is the best value Tacoma and yours looks great!
