I would like my tires to stick out about 2 inches maybe a little farther past my fenders on my 2015 Tacoma and was wondering what the best way to achieve this is? Also if anybody has wheel recommendations I'd appreciate it

Wheel spacers or rim off set. Your paint is going to be destroyed.

    Wheel spacers.
Some wheel manufacturers make them to stick out quite a bit but you may have rubbing issues against your fenders.

I'm running SCS ray 10s with 285/70r17 and it sticks out about 2 inches past fenders. If that helps. Maybe a little less but you can look at the offset on there website and it might give you a better idea

That looks sick. Do you have your rig lifted to fit those tires and if so what lift are you running? And do the tires rub any?

Yeah I have it's lifted about 3 inches OME 885 coils in front with top plate spaces and icon AAL in rear. Sits pretty level a little lean towards the rear but from normal driving no I rarely ever I mean ever get rubbing

This is what adding a 1" Bora spacer and using a 4Runner wheel with 4.5" backspacing will look like for your decision making.

Like others have said, wheels with less offset. Factory wheels have around +32mm offset. My wheels have 0mm offset and the tires just stick out. 26mm is about equivalent to 1". Something to keep in mind, some states don't allow for the tread of the tire to stick out past the fender. In Pa its illegal.

Pa can't handle fixing roads. It takes 3 years to fix a road that only last 1 year.

I'm wondering about the offset. If I keep the same tire size but go with a different wheel offset, will this cause them not to fit?

    Example:

    Currently I have 265/65/17 with a offset of 30

    If I change to this:

    265/65/17 with a offset of -12

Will this cause issues or not even fit?

Do you care to explain this for me? I've researched and I guess I'm just not understanding the offsets

    What about a 00 offset?

Offset; is the mounting distance from the Middle of the wheel towards the rear or the front face of the wheel; [---|----] that would be a Negative Offset since your pushing the wheel out more where |= mounting location for wheel hub(where your lug nuts go) ... [ and ] = outer edge of wheels

Example of Looking at front of vehicle; Looking at the RIGHT WHEEL
    [--|----] = negative offset
    [----|--] = Positive offset
    [---|---] = 0 offset.

You kinda get the idea? lol there's some photos online somewhere that better shows it but just a quick drawings of what offset means. A 0 offset wheel would have the mounting location directly in the middle of the wheel. Negative offset has the mounting location closer inside of the wheel pushing the wheel out more away from the fenders, a Positive offset will mount the wheel more towards the outside of the wheel; thus pushing the wheel into the wheel well more.

    wheel-offset.jpg

Now wheel offset is important because having a different crazy offset can sometimes cause wheel bearings to wear out quicker because the load on the hub assembly has been alter; kinda hard to explain but I know that usually a very low negative offset will chew through wheel bearings quicker than a positive offset.

There is also another factor that comes into play here and that's wheel width; wider wheels will require a certain amount of negative offset to help give you clearance on the inside to prevent the wheel or tire from hitting your suspension components; control arms/springs ect.

I recommend a 8-8.5inch wheel to have a 0mm offset; it sticks out enough past the fender and looks good. Having a 9inch-10inch wheel you'll want a more negative offset(probably around -10/-12mm) to help push the wheel out more because the wider wheels may come into contact with the suspension components; however a wider wheel can cause rubbing when turning. There is a balance you gotta work with.
