Ha Sorry I'm sitting here after having my shoulder operated on yet again with nothing to do but read through TW and look out my window at my little truck being accosted by pine and oak pollen, pounded by rain, and I can't do a thing with it. So I sit here reading through the posts and shopping wanting to order a bunch of stuff to have ready when I can do stuff. We are so spread out in my area that working on te truck is usualy a sollitary thing anyway but it's nice to see others having these mod days, getting things done, and enjoying the spring weather.

It looks really nice especially with the matching cap and tinted windows. Some better pics of the wheels would be appreciated. I really like the scooped hood and especially the color matched mirrors with the turn signals. The color matched door handles are nice as well. If you'd like to do a couple of simple things to complete your storm trooper goal, they are very simple but pop out your grill emblem and dip it white the plasti dip white is a pretty direct match color wise. You could also remove your badging. I started by dipping my badges and liked the look but found it difficult to clean them with al the nooks and crannies in the emblems and the dirt really showed on the black. It looks fantastic as it is these are only little suggestions if your looking for little things you can do for cheap that make a difference it just deends on what your tastes are. I removed my badging and I appreciate the clean look and how much easier it is to keep clean but these are just my taste.

I can understand that as my funding is not unlimitted as well. I'm looking at amber pods for fogs now and I'm one of the unlucky bastards who got a truck that is not pre wired for them. Caliraised as well as I believe rigid and baja designs makes the pods and also have harness adapters so you would litterally only have to mount your lights and plug them in since you have factory fogs luccky

Oh I completely forgot about something like that! Which is good cuz I don't know anything about wiring.. I have a harness and fuses and relays and other crap that for my hood mount ditch lights I've been wanting to install.. but I need connectors for the lights to plug to the harness so I've been putting it off

My friend liked my truck so much, I found him one, he trade his Off-Road in the same day.
    Since then, I installed a 3" spacer(yeah, I know...)lift, he'll want to upgrade later.
And I found him a camper shell for $500!

Sorry to hear about the shoulder. At least you have TW to keep you busy while you wait. Ya, still lots that can be done, some on the cheap, some not so much. I was thinking of plastidip the badges, but actually might just remove them instead.

Here's a close up of the wheels. They are 16" TRD from this model year pro. Had wanted the 17" off the 4Runner Pro but when I finally went to get they were backordered, and maybe done for good? Pleased with the wheels I got though.

Yes sir I like those wheels! It's funny and I won't bore you here but I foundTW last year after the first surgery while watching youtube videos about tacomas. I had already installed a couple of mods including the rough country leveling kit and had gone out on craig's lidt and bought a set of black wheels with 285's on them and thought my truck was really the shit. Thaks to TW and the friends I've made here I'm now on my second lift and have completey redone my whole truck. I'm not much on the little appearance mods I have learned to concentrate on the functional ones which has been rather espensive. It's still just my little truck and nothing fancy as I apparently don't have as deep a wallet as some do nor have I been at this nearly as long as others have. Depending on what you'd like to do with your thruck there are some inespensive yet functional mods you can do to help fill the gaps between larger ones. Back to wheels, I got a set of first gen tundra wheels from a friend who was selling his Tundra and I cleaned them up and painted them black I am considering cleaning them back up though and painting them to match the truck which I haven't seen on here much and I think may be kinda cool

Only a suggestion but why not go get a can of black plasti dip and on a nice day dip one of yours black to see if you like it? If so you could always just clean up the cool wheels you have and actually spray them black. The ones on mine in the picture are aluminum painted black. Or what I think I'm going to do is get a little crazy and paint mine white

Good point Chris! Being aluminum I'm guessing I'd have to sand blast them, then primer and paint?

No sir not really. to paint not to dip, just clean them very well, scuff with some sand paper maybe 220 grt, clean them again with alcohol or a mild thinner, dust them with some etching primer, and paint. I like the aspect of using aerosols for the ease of touch up and the new ones are pretty durable. You can do it all rt in the driveway
