No idea if it will fit a Gen 1. We can try it on if you want though.

 

I'm looking for something to keep the snow out of the bed. I'm taking to a guy with a topper for sale. If that doesn't work out I may take you up on that.

 

If anyone in the area is interested a few guys from the area, myself included, are planning to convoy down to the Southern Cruiser Crawl this year.

Thread looking little desolate so I'll chime in. Ex Tacoma owner on the hunt again. I've owned 5 of them, last trading a 2010 Off road double cab a few years ago. Currently driving a 2014 Fusion titanium but I need a truck back. Starting to see lots of nice 2nd gen low mile trucks in the market and just waiting for the right one. Not really a fan so far of the 2016s so I'm looking for used. Missed the 2010 since I traded it but family needs dictated something different and now it's time to go back.

 

It's kinda funny that you have a Fusion. I sold my 2011 Fusion to get back in a truck 3 years ago. There are a lot of Gen 2s available out there. When I started hunting for my current Tacoma I was looking for a Gen 1 DC. Took me almost a year to find one I liked. Good luck finding yourself a "new" Taco!

 

Thanks, taking my time. There's a 11 TX pro with a TRD supercharger in Muscatine that looks nice. A few more towards Chicago, it just finding time to check them out. I'll drive to East coast to avoid having to deal with the store in Moline.

 

IMO Highland in Moline and Smart in Davenport both aren't worth your time. You could try Forts in Peoria if you want to look at what a dealer can get you. I don't know about their sales department but I've had luck with their service folks in the past. They always seem to have quite a few used trucks on the lot... On a side note, if buy from a dealer instead of a private party it may cost you more in taxes. Gotta love IL taxes...

 

I want to design and build bumpers and sliders for my truck but I don't have the necessary tools nor the welding skills to do it all on my own. Anybody in the QC area interested in helping me on this project?

Body armor 4x4 steel plate, weighs around 150lbs it was a pain to install but I love that thing, deer better watch out.

 

I'm planning to build my own armor... eventually. Bumpers, sliders and such. The plate bumper you have looks like a beast!

This is actually down by Fairfield, bout an hour south of Iowa city, visiting the parents this weekend.

 

Since it seems we have more folks in the QC area these days I'm going to try to bring this dead thread back to life...

I plan to be at Central Standard (2239 Falcon Ave, Bettendorf, IA 52722 https://maps.app.goo.gl/USX5h) around 6 Friday night. Then move over to Five Cities Brewing next door for a beer or two. I can't stay out more than a few hours but there are a couple others from the area that are planning to show up. Anybody else that wants to join us is welcome.

I have the spray gun and such and just FF spray my truck myself. It's not too hard and usually takes me about an hour or so from start to finish. I'm not aware of any place that does it for you but you could check with CRC or anyone that does undercoating. I'd be willing to let you borrow my gun.
