It's not in my driveway yet, but I will be picking up the following in the next week or so. Just put the deposit on it today after negotiation with no less than 5 dealers on similar trucks.

ACLB, V6, 6MT, 4x4, White, Tow package, All weather floor mats.
    MSRP: $34,428
Invoice: $32,245 from my calculations, may be a bit off here.
    Price: $31,600 + $390 doc Fee + taxes of ~$2000

I'm pretty happy with that deal. I paid a few percent more (by percent of MSRP) for my 2014 SR5 ACLB in a similar configuration.

That will be my last ditch fall back plan if nothing comes in better. With the Costco exec membership, I'd then also get $750 back at end of year to spend at Costco. That makes for a decent deal at the end of the day.

But I won't be admitting to any dealer that I've got a Costco or USAA membership. I'm waiting for until I have bids from anyone who gives one, then I'll check Costco after all those are in.

I've got a list of dealers with 11 trucks in my desired config now on the lot (after searching through 35 or so dealers). Giving them first crack at it. Hopefully there will still be a good number of them there when I start my calls next week.

That is kind of high but he lives in California paying nearly 10% sales tax. $3,300 in sales tax. Ouch!

I dealt with her as well and had a great experience. I ended up paying 31,971 before taxes and fees for a 17 MGM dcsb trd off road with a mt. At my request she had most of the paperwork complete so by the time we were done it had taken under an hour. Not to mention the price was below what other dealers were willing to do.

They knocked $5730 off MSRP? Care to take a pic of the sales sheet and post it?

Southeast Toyota dealers inflate their sticker prices a bit with the Toyota guard stuff (clear paint protection, fabric protection, etc.) often adds $1000+ to the MSRP.
That same truck with those options stickers for $38k and some change in my area.
Still a great deal by any means.

@Cxavier2206 you're right, there was an $899 dealer add-on that is exactly like you said.

Thanks for the pic but obviously this doesn't give me enough detail to use as leverage for another deal like it. If you can provide more information, that would be great. If not, I understand.

Looking for the entire deal sheet, salesman name, his/her email, etc.

I recently purchased a 2017 Tacoma Silver Limited 4x4 at $5100 off of MSRP. it was the last day of Q1 and they were hungry to sell. Supposedly they added an $800 coupon for friends and family, but it could have been BS. I played 3 dealers off of each other. Be patient and wait for them to get your business.

@TejasTaco sorry didn't realize you wanted the pic for a similar deal, just thought you were looking for proof. Feel free to PM me and I'll share more details. I didn't want to post any sensitive information by accident. Are you in NC?

[IMG] Just bought a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab SR 4x4. About 3 weeks ago. Shopped and shopped. Nobody really interested in coming down much in price. I ended up buying a SR Double cab in white. Missed out on a few options but got what I need. The truck came with the V6 AT transmission, full towing package, power windows, door locks, remote entry, power mirrors, cruise, tilt telescopic wheel, AM FM CD MP3 Blue tooth, backup camera, sliding rear window. Didn't get alloy wheels, chrome package, navigation, fog lamps, power dimming mirror. Don't care much for the factory alloys anyway so I'll find the ones I like and buy them. The money I saved paid for a new matching canopy, new Goodyear Dura Trax traction tires, weather Tech floor mats and a level lift. (lift isn't in yet). And a heavy duty bed mat. And I'm still money ahead. The one thing I really liked about this truck is it didn't have the plastic fender flares. I hate those things. Here's a picture...... I paid $32,750 OTD and that included 8.9% Wa sales tax. I think the price on the truck without tax, license and dealer fee was around $29,600.00. Then I bought the canopy. It is snugtop with the pro lock, carpet lined, 50/50 split windows, slider with the fold down option. With installation and sales tax it was $2245.00. Put on a set of 265/75R16 Load range c Goodyear dura trax, a set of weather tech floor mats and a super heavy bed mat. I got 1.99 % financing thru my Credit union on a 4 year note.

Purchased my new 2017 in NH:

    2017 DCSB OR Quicksand
Carpet Floor Mats w/Door Sill Protector
    Exhuast Tip
    Mudguards
    Rain Guards
    Weather Tech mats
    MSRP $36,942

    Requested:
    Remote Start
    Heated Seats

    Final MSRP: $38,140

    After discounts and negotiating: $34,039

Really happy with the price I paid, I did most of the negotiating through e-mail, had a price I was happy with before I ever agreed to show up in person. Spent about 2 weeks e-mailing between 10-15 different dealerships within an hour drive from me. Utilized USAA Car Buying service and financed through them.

I have one lined up for $9 over invoice in SoCal. OTD for $800 or so over MSRP (includes 7.5% tax and all fees). Dealer has an added alarm (dealer added full alarm) I didn't want included in that at $1 (So, I verified invoice prices, and only $1 added for the alarm). So, that would actually raise actual invoice what...$300 or so? Said it was a "$900 option", but since I didn't want it, they'd go $1 on it. About what I'd be willing to pay for it, lol.

I know I need to pay TDA, but there was a lot of confusion early on today as some were including it in their quoted price, and others were not, and they were not itemizing like I requested. I'm now telling them all "If I write a check to drive this off the lot, what is that number"? Now things are starting to become more clear, especially after calculating actual invoice and MSRP's.

This dealer said "sell to you at invoice" but then had TDA on top of invoice the I calculated (which is fine, I know it needs to be paid, and will be one way or the other), which brings the OTD price closer to the others who were including it in their final quoted price. So technically, yes, at invoice pricing since TDA is going to be listed on all the dealer invoices.

When factoring in TDA (which dealer does pay), which is part of their invoice, I've got two selling at invoice, and another about $600 over.

Thinking I may secure one of these up tomorrow after giving the other three best price dealers another quick crack at it. Should make my decision by afternoon and can post up numbers and dealer.

A couple others are running about $800 to $1200 over invoice.
