I see 20ish mpg, sometimes over sometimes a little less depends what I'm doing. I live in the Rockies and ya I gotta dof the 4-3 dance but it's only in the mountain passes.

Do you have ethanol in the fuel up there. Last year I did a trip up north of Ottawa and we stopped at a station with regular non ethanol gas and I noticed a huge jump in mpg, filled the tank and 2 Jerry cans so I wanna say most of the ethanol gas from the states was gone or heavily diluted at that point.

All fuel in bc contains 10% ethanol except for chevron 94 but at almost 1.70 per liter it's not worth the potential 1-2mpg. I have a diesel golf for mpgs lol

Cleaned up the rack install, added some more sealant because you can never have too much. It did rain last night and the inside stayed dry so here's hoping, I really added the drip rail trim, and dusted off my oz trail 2.5m awning

Had some minor moisture in the truck this morning I added more sealant after work and tightened down the rack some more.. I feel like this will be and ongoing process for a bit

    This weekend was pretty productive.

Readjusted my coilovers now running a whopping 1cm of preload. Build myself a fridge platform, still needs some love but it'll do the job, and went for a nice rip with the truck fully kitted out

They're 12ft, I didn't have any issues having them on the rtt but it was super annoying I had to get them just so to strap then up right. Hence why I got the prinsu rack. Hoping it will make this summers trips will be smoother

Are you running stock CV axles and boots? How are they holding up to the lift and tires?

Yes I have the factory axles actually these ones are original to the truck 236k km later they're fine... the boots are starting to show some wear but just from their age. I'm not really worried I have a spare set of toyota axles in my tool box. With my icons and 700lb king springs I have a full 1cm of preload my axles sit basically straight whilst still providing me with 24.5 D side and 24"p side hub to fender. The axles don't care about the tires the wheel bearings would be the concern but even those are fine I'm sure I'll have to do them one day as the truck ages.

Went for a camp this weekend

Then my shocks decided they would work better with no oil in them. 150 km later I got home. The shafts are scored to shit. Oil is everywhere. On the positive side my fridge works awesome I made beercicles on Saturday

They were on their second rebuild in less than two years. The coilovers were originally purchased in late 09 early 2010 by a friend they blew up on him, I bought them rebuilt them and then again earlier this year

I pretty much only have to go like an hour from home to find awesome spots.

Update: I bought a set of king 2.5 with resis today

Congrats on the new shocks! Your icons were not reliable enough for what you do.

I just read a few pages back and saw that it is now a month before departure for your Vancouver Island loop! Are things all set up? (Except for the shocks obviously)

The shocks have thrown a major red flag up. As I'll find it today if I'll have to pay for express shipping direct from king. Everything is pretty much ready to go except I may be doing some last minute tuning in the days leading up to my departure
