That should not matter, the sensor is most likely installed at the engine assembly plant.

I'd guess the CPS is installed wherever the wiring harness is installed

Yeah my 16 limited out the door came out to 38k taxes and fees included...

Since it had 6k miles on it used I was able to get it for that price, brand new one would have put me over 40K though, since I figured I was going to rip the suspension out anyways I went for the limited lol

Guess the pleather seats extra speakers and ability to open the doors with my voodoo magic made it pricey

I wouldn't say the vehicle being undrivable and having to be towed is a "little" problem. Albeit Toyota towed and fixed under warranty, but still brand new truck on back of tow truck = a bunch of shit

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Well, the mid 80's ones I use in the mountains of Guatemala qualify as 'great' IMHO. The bodies are tattered, torn, occasionally rusted. Interior bits are broken.

But they are easy to fix, crawl up and down narrow mountain trails filled with ruts, rock slides, mud etc., while heavily loaded, with ease.

Most of those are on worn stock suspensions, iffy tires, and no gee whiz gadgetry. If you get stuck, a rope, a come-along, a shovel and maybe a couple of friends are your 'recovery'. If you are lucky, a mule might come by that you can rent for a few minutes.

In this area you occasionally see a Nissan product. And maybe a Ford or two. But that's about it. The people are poor, and need reliable, not pretty, not gadgetry.

I will say we American's (including me) are pretty sissified compared to much of the rest of the world.

So yea, they are great trucks. At least for certain applications.

Do I want to go cross country in one? Of course not. But I don't want to go cross country in any Tacoma, no matter how plush. :p

I agree having to be towed sucks, and no one wants that on a "new" truck, but is it new once you sign and drive it off the lot? Ok so if you have a bad battery and need to be towed isn't that similar? My point is that when there is an issue, it doesn't mean they all are shit, as the post I quoted was defending the "3rd gens a POS, and this thread proves it" post.
