So pumped the Sens made it to the 2nd round. They have already achieved past their expectations, and show no signs of slowing down. Rangers will be tough to beat though.

Good series by Boston - they were really gutsy considering the injuries on the back end.

They showed what they will be capable of in the future if Babcock can keep them playing his system. Plus they still have pieces in the AHL and a top 2 Dman could end up being available this off season from a team trying to manage the expansion draft.

Wow, this guy is an absolute machine. Even if we ignore this injury - to do what he did and play at that level is incredible, but to do so with 2 fractures in his foot. Unbelievable.

 

Earlier in the season some experts touted the Wild to go deep into the playoffs. Ha, there's no heart on that team, just like San Jose.

Leafs are so young, They'll be a force to be reckoned with in the next couple years. Especially under Babcock.

 

Ya they really just lack a bit on the back end. If they can fill that hole, and move forward with the experience they have all gained, then they will be a hell of a team. Matthews is by far 1 of my favorite players. What a talent, that kid is. And I hope no one is too down on Andersen's play. He played great IMO. I saw on twitter that ppl were complaining about some 'softies' but come on, dude made a bunch of HUGE saves, each game.

Babcock adjusts his system to the team he's coaching. Sochi, Vancouver, the Wings, and the Leafs he's always focused on puck procession but each team had a different set of breakout tactics and pressure in the offensive zone. Andersen was great. IMHO better than Holtby in this series, no I'm not saying better than Holtby overall lol, plus he really only had one weak period in the entire series. He is thriving under Babcock. After talking with Ducks fans you can definitely see his calming effect on a team. He just doesn't get rattled. You could call him the antiPrice lol. That really seems to help a young team like the Leafs. I feel the players play for him, even when he's having an off period. Without Andersen this wouldn't of been a 6 game series.
