    im in need of a new tail light. i backed into a tree and cracked one housing. so, now im looking at replacing but im not finding any aftermarket options. am i missing something? only thing i can find is oem replacement or trd pro replacements.

    I can find a single replacement for $85. I just dont get why there arent any aftermarket options.

    They are available aftermarket. I can tell you my cost ea is 126 for capa cert, 120 nsf for red lensed. Call for capa smoked and 125 for nsf smoked (pro?) Thats through a vendor i deal with but they are certainly available. Not a huge discount though

    Know what? Screw it im working for another company soon enough. Checkout this ss for a lot of aftermarket body parts what dealers/shops/parts stores pay

    Not to be an ass, but almost universally aftermarket headlamps and tail lamps are crappy. It takes from 10-60k$ to make the molds and tooling for a set of replacement lamps. And 90% of the time they don't bother putting in fantastic optics and they usually just phone in the reflector design. What looks awesome to a 13 year old boy is typically king. And then they need to find a model of vehicle that will sell enough of them to recoup that initial cost.
