    Remove the lightbar.

    Go to another dealer.

Get a new headliner that you deserve.

    Reinstall lightbar.

I don't even have the light bar anymore.

I guess I could remove headliner. Clean metal shavings. Go to different dealer.

Then take original headliner back to dealer. Show him it's narrower. Break headliner over techs head. Go home happy.

Well whatever the dumbass dealer did made this way worse. It pops out multiple times a day instead if once every couple weeks.

Even then only a small piece would fall down. Now the entire piece from a pillar to the read access door falls out.

I'm going to just bite the bullet and buy a new headliner.

I'm tempted to buy a new one. Take measurements between the two. And just go show the dealer. Not to get my money back. It just show they are idiots.

I usually disagree with you on every subject. But I'm kind of pissed at this whole ordeal. So that's a like!

I wish I could cancel my extended warranty and get my money back!

It's total horse shit that Toyota is allowing customers to deal with this shit. If you have not started a case with corporate now is the time.

I'm tempted to. I'll own up to anything I affected and would never try to warranty something that's my fault.

This 100% has nothing to do with me and I wish I would have never taken it to the dealer. Fixing it every couple weeks wasn't bad. But now it's multiple times a day.

Do you have to call or is there an online form to fill out? Thankfully I'm in a different state not and don't have to deal with that same dealer.

As someone suggested I should remove the headline and vacuum out any metal shavings. But if I do that, then I've definitely messed with the headliner.

Cordial but firm. Remind the case manager you understand it is not personally their fault but you are upset with the quality you have received based on your high expectations of Toyota past quality standards which is why you chose the brand.

I had the same problem. Dealer fixed it while looking at my rear differential. We'll see how long it lasts.

The lightbar is BS if you didn't touch the headliner on the pillar. Even if you did, it doesn't mean it wasn't defective.

The only idiot in this situation would be you...

For coming out of pocket and doing the work yourself. Force them to warranty their work. Call corporate to open a case. Tell them how disappointed you are. Then take it back to the dealer.

You seem like you are getting all spooled up but wasting that energy on the wrong things. A 5 min call to corporate will light a fire under them.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm an idiot.

It's my word against theirs. You know who wins in that scenario. I'll give you a hint, not me. :)

I dunno what a third gen headliner costs, but my second gen headliner was about $1400.

Before I tossed that kind of cash down, I'd probably bark up a few trees.

Well that was a waste of time. Called to open case. Thy said they rely on the dealer to determine if things can be warrantied. Since the first dealer said no they also said no.
