I'm getting ready to take out and replace my locked diff (4:10 ADD that has an Aussie locker). I'll post it in the classifieds when it's out. Good work!

I want control over when it's locked so going with an open diff until I can save up and regear w/ an arb.

Did you wire in a switch for control of the ADD? That kind of unlocked it.

I have manual hubs. I just want to have unlocked 4x4 and locked 4x4. Less likely to break axles and better chance of not breaking a tie rod when turning on a tight turn in 4x4... for the style of wheeling I do that's my thing. For others it won't be a consideration as much.

For sure - the guy who installed it was more of a slow bumpy rocky trail kind of guy, but this will be more of a desert exploring rig where I'll be driving on some trails that have tight turns where I'd like to keep 4x4 on because of loose rocks. Aussie lockers seem to be popular in 4runner front diffs too. I think it's just a matter of where someone drives.

How many miles have you put on it since install?
