I'm not totally sure if I'm reading the invoice prices in that other thread correctly, but the dealer quoted me sticker of 39868 for a 17, mgm grey, DCSB TRD OR with premium tech and jbl. Price before TTL would be 37920. I'm pretty sure he said it had an exhaust tip and all weather floor matts too (neither of which I care about).

This seems about right to me, but if there are better deals to be had I'm not above emailing a few dealers and creating some competition.

Seems roughly about $100 to $200 over invoice?

Don't forget to add Destination and TDA once you add up all your invoice prices on the base truck and options.

Remember when calculating true dealer invoice, you've got to add whatever the regional TDA fee is. That has to be paid by the dealer and is shown on actual dealer invoices. Some people will say "I'm not paying that", but the dealer must. If you get them to "discount" that TDA price, they are actually dipping into their holdback and wholesale financial reserve to do so and make the deal, not the TDA. They will pay Toyota the full TDA regardless of what final price they offer you.

At least that is my understanding of it.

Ya, he told me it was $300 over invoice. I want a barcelona red, but they are about as rare as an honest woman, so I may have to decide on something else. Maybe if he has something collecting dust on the lot he'll go a bit lower.

Mine was similar to yours in WA though. double cab short bed TRD off road. Premium and Tech with JBL. Tow package, factory tonneau cover, all weather mats, exhaust tip, mud guards, sill protectors.

Sticker was 40,647. Negotiated sale price to 37,187 prior to TTL and added warranty.

I think that red with black bumpers and matte bronze wheels looks bad ass and very few people have them. Besides, everyone has the pantyhose color and I'd have to get a trd pro to get the cement color that I like. If they don't have a red I'll probably go back to the grey I have now or white.

I went to Longo Toyota in El Monte for my 4x4 DCSB in black with premium/tech package and bought ti for 40k OTD. Not the best deal but it took me forever to find a black 4x4 for some reason.. And all these dealers decided to upcharge recently!! Supply and Demand

I'm looking to buy my first Tacoma and was wondering if this a good deal.

Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab 4x2
Premium & Technology Package w/JBL Audio
    Tow Package
    Carpet Floor Mats

This does not include APR. If not a good deal, what will be a good deal for this truck?

    Thank you for your help!

So, I secured my deal and accepted an offer. Truck is reportedly "off the lot with a sold tag on it". But I have not signed anything yet and they refused deposit. So I can't post details until keys are in my hand and ass is in seat. Docs on way via FedEx.

But I checked 42 SoCal dealers last week, over the weekend, and a last time yesterday morning. Found 7 with the configuration I wanted on the lot, and included only two others who did not (didn't want a ton of calls going around for a dealer swap) and started making calls. So limited my dealings mostly to dealers who had one on the lot.

Paying $491 under verified invoice for a TRD OR 4x4 DC (they said final was $650 under, but not by my numbers). Never stepped foot on a lot other than to test drive one a couple weeks ago.

Anyone in SoCal who is looking, hold off, I can give you two dealers and contact people on Sunday. Great people to work with (so far). Both hit me with a first time, no hassle offer for invoice price right out of the gate. A third came in about $400 over, and Longo.....well, uhm, nice try. Short on phone, seemed bothered, and gave $1k off MSRP. Guess I was wasting his time.

Couple others came in higher. One didn't get back to me until tonight. Too late.

Overall, a good experience. Will never deal with walking into a showroom or floor salesman again.

Whole bunch of stuff in my garage
Tomorrow I pick up my 17 TRD OR DCSB with Premium & Tech w/o JBL, tow package, floor mats and door sill protectors, and mudguards for $40,982 OTD. Best price from the 50 dealers I contacted. That Seattle tax of 10.1% will kill ya.

Not just the sales tax, but the new RT3 registration fee is included. Well it should have been included in that OTD price. Last Sunday I bought a TRD Sport 4x4 with JBL, tow, bed mat, floor mats and sill protectors for $37,500 + TTL. OTD door was something like $39,700.

Oh and Bonus, with the recent "Stop Sale" notice. Mine was manufactured on 4/2017 and VIN returned no results on Toyota Recall site.

No, it's because it's an OR which aren't included at this time.

    $37,900-ish?? I think??

Riverview Toyota Mesa - Hit up Orlando "Big O" Church.

FYI though, because of the Stop Sale notice, they pulled 8-10 Taco's off their lot. The only other similar models to mine were limiteds (some 4x4, some 4x2) and then some Sport 4x2's.

The setup I got was the only one like it on their lot.

    Good Luck!
