I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on ads 0-3" lift kit. is it overkill opting for bypass rear shock? First time seeing them, I always wanted it. For sure it's bit noisier.

This is my plan/set up. I'm planning to install cbi front/rear plate bumpers, rock sliders, and full shield.

ADS 2.5" standard or extended travel coilovers with 650 or **going with 700 lb spring with reservoir
ADS 2.5" rear shocks with piggyback reservoir
Deaver single leaf add-a-leaf( will sub for HS 3-leak AAL kit)
Total chaos upper control arms(will see if I could subbed for Baja Kit)
w/ free shipping to lower 48 States
    Total =

Add in ADS spanner wrench =
Sub out single leaf for HS 3-leaf aal w/ ext. ubolts =
Sub out rear shocks for triple bypass =

Don't know if the bypasses are an overkill or not, depends on what you plan on doing with it, but I chose not to because mine is mostly a daily driver and the noise the bypasses make would drive me insane. Some guys say the noise doesn't bother them at all tho.

I don't hear any noise :notsure:

Need to revalve the fronts and maybe add some shims. Rebound is too strong and not getting full travel me thinks.

I have Dakars too. I ended up putting teflon liners between the top three leafs. Quite and smooth ride even with a empty bed.

This is to reduce squeaks? I've read about newer bushings that reduce noise that OME have. My set is sitting here taunting me waiting for moar gear

It's a combination of a couple things. Yes to prevent or reduce squeaking. I forgot the technical term but the metal on metal of the leaves contributes to a harsh ride. Full teflon liners eliminate that and end result is a smooth ride with an empty bed.

You have to call them. It's 2.5" with edge guard(or whatever you call it.) It's a lip on the sides to keep it from moving. It's sold by the foot. Unfortunately I don't remember how much I bought. Measure your springs and times it by 4 if you want to do the same thing that I did. The top three leafs don't come with the factory pads. Those are the ones I put the liners between. So two strips per leaf pack.

Does the 2.5 inch wide version fit good? I only ask since they also sell a 2.25 inch wide liner that I think matches the width of the Dakars. Thanks

Absolutely! I found a picture after I got them all together. I cut off the side pieces where the leaf pack brackets are. 20170409_122944.jpg
