I did a bench to bucket with center console conversion to my truck. $200 later My back Couldn't be happier!! I can recline now lol. Seats came from an 07 so they dont have airbags like my bench did. I got passenger sensor to read fine by using all the wiring from the bench seat including the pressure blatter. I even kept the same buckles from the bench.

??? My question is, what is the resistance from the airbag? Or if anyone knows what size resistor to use. Tryin to get this airbag dash light off.

No. Just to get the light off the dash its aggravating. I have the same truck as an 05-08 with no airbags in the seats. So i dont really see a diffrence. Kinda like aftermarket seats. Lets just hope i shoudnt ever need them anyways.

    Thanks for the answer btw!

Did you have to add any brackets for the console or did the holes for the old console and bench seat line up?

The holes are all there under the carpet. Everything lines up.
There were black stickers over the holes.

Did the existing brackets for the old console line up with the new console?

The console i didnt think to look under the carpet for exisisting holes for the center console, But it fits nicely and tight between the two bucket seats.

Is yours an automatic or 5speed?

It is five speed. I didn't want to get started and then have to stop to order and wait on brackets. Oh I did not realize you did not install a new console. Are there any brackets exposed after you removed the bench seat? There should be one to bolt the back half of the console to. I found my console for $85 from LKQcorp.com. They have everything. Shipping was $12.

I gave 25$ for my center console with shifter housing from a 07 access cab 6speed and 80 for each bucket seat with no tares or no rusty tracks.. one little metal bracket on the left of the shifter housing to be removed and theres a little spot of carpet missing that will be visible if it dosent bother you.

Theres no bracket left under the bench. Once the bench is removed its an open floor all the way across

Thanks for the heads up. I wish I could have found that deal for the seats and the console. My seats were $400. Tried to get the same year to avoid any problems. Came to this site after the fact.

I swapped the bench out my 06 with buckets that came out of a 2014 access cab, they have airbags on them but since I transferred the whole wire harness from the bench including the weight and magnetic sensors I do not have any problems with airbag lights in the dashboard. No console yet and may not get one at all, that allowed me to continue use the same belt buckles....

LKQonline.com has more than a few consoles for $85 with $12 shipping.

Did you switch the yellow airbag wire coming from the bench to the bucket or is it the same so it doesn't need to be switched?

I just removed the whole harness from the bench and laid it down on the truck's floor. Then plugged it all back in and was all set. Not the neatest but it everything works fine. I am actually liking not having a console in there.
