I feel like it should have two bolt holes on the top instead of two for better weight distribution on the rails?

I will say... that on the ones I have from someone else are built kinda like that, and to help with noise I take some fuel line and cut it and slice it down the middle and use it like a cushion against the side of the bed. No idea if that makes sense or not.

That was my first thought. Take a section of rubber tubing and place it on the back end to cut down on the chatter while off road.

I know what you are talking about. I have to say that i have not heard my mounts making any noise at all. If these rattle then i have a solution, i just dont want to have to do any additional work to these to sell them...

    For your enjoyment!

I would think you leave it up to the purchaser to solve their own rattle. Looks like a solid product to me. I'll be getting a set for sure.

Also as far as weight distribution, the jack is only ~40lbs which is ~20lbs on each bracket, i think it will be ok. But that is why i need to test them before i sell them...

    Free test samples?

Jambo sounds like a good place to test....

I mean if you are not taking your truck on trails or anything how can you really test them unless you go on some really nice trails?

    Truck stuff
I'll test for you, just provided mounts and hi-lift jack(since I dont own one yet) and I have plenty of locks. I may want a set once I get a Hi-Lift... I also may or may not remember to return them upon completion of testing. :anonymous:

As for locking the jack to the truck I think it may be more of a deterrent to use a cable lock to a tie down in the bed. Its atleast 1 more step to get the jack off the truck, either 2 more bolts that have to be undone or cutting the cable lock.

I should give one to @danbow to test out when he goes out to bridgeport! That dude will put them to the test for sure! Haha

No i just need to mount them and make sure they mount well and the jack sits below the rails. And i need to test the durability... which is where Dan comes in....

I'd be all over testing these if I didn't already have quickfist and hi-lift mounts. Looks like a good product.

We can throw a set on your truck to test them out at Jambo. I should have my truck back Wednesday.

Locking them down is really just a deterrent, if someone wants it bad enough then can get it. I would just like to prevent people from doing a "grab and go"

Well i may need you to mount mine up for a trip and i would like to see how they hold up after a trip in the back of your truck.

I also fully expect you to climb up insane hills and almost roll down them in order to get a "full test" on these! haha

If I can't break them, there is a good chance they can't be broken.
