I've done a bunch of lurking and reading but after a while all the tabs and threads seem to blend together.

I'm fixing to put an ARB with no winch (and never a winch) on the front of my 05 AC, which means I'll have to beef up the front end, so I'm going with the OME 90000000000 or whatever they are. Question is the spring:

When it's finished and settled, I want the full 3'' of front lift or as close to it as I can get. Near as I can tell, that's done one of two ways: 885 coil with a spacer or 886 coil with no spacer. I'm getting the JBA UCAs regardless.

What are the pros and cons of each of these spring setups and will either be any smoother or better on pavement? Also, what size spacer do you estimate I'll need with the 885 to hit the 3ish inches I want after the bumper is mounted?

Lastly, I see everyone recommends this OME setup with the ARB, which is probably smart considering they're in bed together; but what would be, if there is one, the most as-good or nearest to as-good American made setup if I wanted to go that route instead? For instance, could I do a Rancho adjustable with an Eibach spring, or maybe a 2.0 racerunner with a 700# coil?

Thanks for the advice anyone who chimes in.

I run the empty arb bumper with 886 coils, and if I were to do it again, I'd do the softer coils. It just rides a little too rough for me, and my friends trucks ride much nicer that have the 885 coils on about the same setup.

Not sure about other options but even with a winch+ARB, I felt as though the 886s were too stiff and made for a jarring ride.
