I've been using "Corrosion Free"... the guy that does it used to do Rust Check, but said he changed to this product because it if far superior....
I have to agree that it's a quality protectant.... Did my 2006 Taco (with the bad metal in the frame) and when I traded it, it looked like new... NO rot at all. The dealer WAS impressed..!

This shit really works... I do it every fall and the price does NOT change for the life of the truck.....! I think it was $160.00 for my 2016 in fall of 2015....(Drove her right from the dealer to him for the application)..!

They cover brake lines, etc, etc in the warranty....spray it in everywhere... Never had a squeak in my truck as this shit lubs everything including door locks, leaf springs, etc, etc...

I'm a total believer.....(also...the guy that applies it is real OCD about his own truck....and all his customer's truck too..!) That I like..!!

Been using it for 27 years now...!!

I had a friend buy his 2017 DCSB OR from there I got mine from Cochrane Toyota so I personally don't have any experience with high river but I have never heard anything bad about them or the prices honestly. I just decided I would rather drive 2 minutes to the dealership then drive from Cochrane to high river haha.

Thanks again, glad I could help. The manual transmission is pretty hard to find outside of Alberta.

I was looking at MSRP prices on the Toyota website and notice the following:

    • MSRP is $38,170 for the TRD Offroad Access Cab 6 speed manual
    • MSRP is $40,545 for the TRD Offroad Double Cab Automatic

So for $2,375 you get an automatic transmission (yes there is a debate over how well that transmission performs) along with all the TRD Offroad gizmos that only come with the automatic plus the extra space of the doublecab?

Seems they are really charging a premium for the access cab 6M configuration..... I seem to remember with the 2nd Gen you were looking at $2K extra for the automatic and another $2.5 - $3K extra for the double cab.

+1 on that...great stuff and it doesn't run all over the place.....I did like you, drove from the dealer to have it applied..do both my truck and my wifes car........and if you need to do touch ups yourself you can by spray cans of it at crappy tire!

Supply and demand, USA doesn't get access cab M6 OR so its very low production and low profit for them.
