I did relocate my cb antenna today. When I installed the TC bed stiffeners I lost my CB antenna mount. I moved it to the front using a @RelentlessFab driver side hood mount. Need to tune it tomorrow. Going through the fire wall is always a pain in the ass. Got it all tucked away nicely under the carpet though and is completely out of sight. Just like I like it. I may end up getting a shorter antenna for the front. A 2ft perhaps.

Nice. I totally stole their hood mount ditch light bracket idea. I added a little extra room for future antenna mounting.IMG_1236.jpg

The shop I normally go to won't do the aftermarket UCAs

What cable do you have for it and what fittings to screw it on? I have the coax cable but its too big to fit on the hood mount..

No modification required. My unit is mounted under the cup holder in front of my shifter. The coax runs down from there under my driver seat towards the driver door and then forward once it gets to the floorboard. It then is routed up towards the e-brake pedal and through the firewall. I tucked it nice and neat in the engine bay and then bolted it up to the mount. Eazy peazy.... minus the part about going through the firewall. I have big hands and its always a pain in the ass running shit through the firewall. Which is why my truck has virtually no electrical stuff done to it.

Are they willing to try to get it to the number you want? And do they do good work?

Edit: 2 minutes on the phone with them makes me think they will be good to work with. Scheduled an appointment for tomorrow. And to think I pass this place daily and never blink twice

He probably already traded it in on a Prius.
