Clean title for both trailer and boat? Registration up to date? And does the trailer have perm tags?

Trailer has perm Michigan tags, not sure if I still have the title for it, I'll have to dig around some. Boat has clean title and just renewed the registration a couple weeks ago.

Just a bunch of old crap
It was a slow night this past Saturday, but at least I got this little guy. Also we had a huge flock of pelicans fly over us from the other side of the lake. Yes, pelicans. They flew straight overhead and we could clearly see what they were.

May I remind you all that I mentioned earlier in the week that I was headed out there. Not my fault!

Yeah this was in Goose Bay, right on the western side of it. https://goo.gl/maps/wxDREyxnkLP2 We were casting due east, right to the submerged stumps.

Went fishing on the black river and big lake. Caught a few fish but always ended up getting started late. Seemed like the trout were really liking the white and silver lures covered colored. Also was pretty windy to be fishing from the shore. Wish I would have brought my kayak out there.
Oh and it is so nice finally having a pretty well equipped rig for camping now. Makes things so much more enjoyable.

I'm thinking about getting a fish finder. Ever where I read people always say they don't know how they ever fished without one.

Eh sometimes I use one sometimes I don't. Yes they are helpful, but not a guarantee

Please post a report when you go, especially reservation and pacheta, those are 2 of my favorites and I will be headed up there this summer. Best of luck catching the elusive brown!

On April 8th we went to check out how the roads were around Reservation, Pacheta, Black River, Big Lake, etc.

We came up 191, turned onto FR 25 and took FR 72 up to Reservation Lake. When we hit the main road to Reservation Lake it looked as if no one had been back to the lake since last fall. There was a giant snow drift blocking the main road right by the dam and so that route to Pacheta was blocked. Our plan was to take the main road back out to Big Lake and make our way back down to the Black River, but I started hitting snow drifts and trees that had fallen over the road. I was able to make it over/around a few trees/drifts but I got to one and was impassable.

I'm assuming they have cleaned up the road, but I passed/went over at least 5 big trees completely covering the road. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Might want to give them a call to see if its open.

We are heading back to the Black River, we caught a few decent trout down there a few weeks ago but the river was still high.

If the Black River doesn't pan out, we might make our way up to Pacheta/Reservation Lake if its accessible from the south without having to go all the way around! I'll keep an eye out for ya.
