Why bother making a group with an invite to outside the 10 Portland buddies?

There are 200+ ppl in the group

We would rather 20 ppl that actually participate and are active than large numbers.

Not much to participate in. I would have made the St. Helens run but the truck was in the body shop. Not much before, and nothing after. So it's not like it's an activity group that has something going on weekly.

We've done 3 runs, 2 mod days, 3 meet and greets, in the last 5 months... if you haven't made it to any of those, that's on you, and we encourage our memebers to do their own runs and activities and events. Not just wait for us.

On a side note, do you have a taco or a ridgeline? We are on tacomaworld after all...

Why don't you start a group that does weekly events if that's what you want?

Why in the fuck would I do that? I simply made a statement of fact about a group that wants to boot people for not taking part.....in beer meets and truck work days? There are plenty of us that don't live in the liberal shit hole up there that are willing to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Like it was also stated on here and on the group. Make your own event. Invite people. And people will show. Don't have to wait for us to do it.

Because you want weekly meets and PNWE isn't providing that? If you want something different make something different. Stop complaining about how the group isn't catering to your every need. Yes many of us do live in the liberal shit hole with our good food and good beer and culture and differing points of view. We also enjoy the outdoors. What is your point? Everyone is welcome in the group from any region, you just can't be a whiny little bitch.

Hey, i dont want to shoot your opinion of the group down but the reason why big public events arent posted or we dont do many is because most will agree its a pain to manage -- we have to call the locations ahead of time so we arent disturbing people or are even allowed to have such a size, and lastly managing a trail event outside a destination meet with more than 5 rigs is a disaster in the happening with too many variables to consider.

How this group started is a meeting of several tw members meeting up for beers and a talk -- from there it created a small community of trust and that is the premise of this closed group. We have professional lives and broadcasting information like our addresses or meets is not in the best interest for many of us. The closed group is there to build community and create a grounds where people can post up meets, food outings, requests for help when we need assistance in mods-- opening the group to the public just makes us like any other group page on fb.

To many it doesnt make sense of invite only but if you meet people whom you never met and decide to do lets say a meet to try and shoot guns, you definitely dont want to invite someone with a firearm near you or your family nearby whom you never met. We had many people come up after to our meet and greets telling us they needed this because of stress in life, work, etc and appreciate us giving them the push to get outside and mingle. Thats all we want, nothing more. If people dont like our family friendly public meets than thats their opinion.....we see the benefit in putting down time and resources in planning these as it helps us get to know people and maybe help somone out.....down the road when weather permits we will invite public meets to come help us do trail cleanups, events, etc --- its all a testing ground for us. Once again it is encouraged in the group to set up your own meet or outing and to keep that process rolling so people get accustomed to each other.

Stop. You virtue signaled and got called out on it. "Culture and differing points of view," don't make me laugh. It's an echo chamber.

Now you're dog whistling. Keep tripping over yourself to conform and make sure everyone is watching you be so progressive! Lol.

Yeah that was a little tounge in cheek on my part for the "liberal shithole" comment. I was trying to trigger him.

Did you just assume the breed of my whistle!?!?
