So does that mean you are taking the bay on the far right and one of us gets the drive through bay?

Actually I have a small shed out back that is a bit dilapidated. Those who wish to compete for a bay by engaging in mortal combat may bunk there while awaiting their challenger(s).

Thanks Rob. That's just the tip. So to speak. I can't post any other pictures right now because it will leave me vulnerable to @DVexile reprogramming his satellites and streaming live footage to the interwebs. Thereby blowing my whole In close proximity to an undisclosed location thing out of the water.

But here's another shot that is probably safe from Ken's intergalactic techno-sleuthing. Just to slake your curiosity.

This did not come up during inspection, nor would I expect it to, since it was buried in blown-in insulation in a remote, dark corner of unconditioned space that is very hard to get into. The only reason I got into this is because I mistook a flexible aluminum duct from the laundry room fart fan for a dryer vent duct. They are very closely located to each other. An HVAC guy suggested I dig deeper and that I would likely find rigid duct for the dryer. I did. Yay. But in so doing I noticed that some of the gray fuzzy crap blown all over the place was a different shade of gray than the insulation. Light blue-gray. *Lightbulb*

Lint. Fucking shit. So I dug in and found this total shit job.

Probably from 1986 when constructed. Not even mechanically connected, and a complete fucking bitch to access and work on.

Here is a distant shot taken through the diagonally braced 16-inch center framing punctuated by HVAC duct, electrical, plumbing, and alarm wires that you cannot see, but which is the major barrier to the area. And the "floor" is all drywall ceiling to a bedroom below. I spent half my time just picking a path and dusting off ceiling joists to step on. The whole area is about 4 ft high.

Fortunately, the vertical dryer duct is in a stud bay accessible from the garage side, and it extends a couple feet above the top plate exposed in the first photo. I think the way to do this is cut open a drywall hatch from the garage wall side to access and repair this correctly.

I can't even feel gentle anymore. It doesn't even register on my nerve endings.
