I recently picked up my 2017 Tacoma off-road dbl cab from the dealership after having them do a tint job on it. I found a black plastic piece in the cup holder, have no idea where it came from, wasn't there before and the dealership also has no idea what it is. Thought I'd post up to see if anyone knew? Or if even belongs to the truck?
Pics below, quarter to help reference the size.

My bet is they didn't. They sub'd it out, gave themselves a cut, called it a day.

Value added services and all that.

The dealer tinted my windows too. Problem is, I live in Louisiana, but bought the truck in Georgia where tint laws are different.
After I took delivery of the truck, I went to get the inspection done and it wouldn't pass inspection. Tried a few different places in hopes that they wouldn't notice. I was about to rip the tint off, but decided to try one more place. I drove up with just the drivers side window down. The guy plugged in the emissions stuff and never looked at the windows, so it passed. I'm good for at least another year, when I'll need to get it inspected again.

Luckily no inspections if you live in the mountains here. Only big cities..

    Lucky you.

If I didn't love my job, I'd move to the mountains.

Yep, moved here from county with 3 million people. Now this town has 300 and I have the only 3rd gen. 7 min from work...no stopping on main road for 60 miles each direction...
