For the "exploding" rear diff issue.

Neat. I guess I'll likely be getting a rear end at some point. So far it's been good.

@Overkill07 - Regarding drilled. Yes, you don't want that. Dimpled, perhaps. Slotted are typically good.

I'll throw this out there, however. Buying race parts for a non race vehicle actually can reduce performance. Slotted and dimpled reduce heat, but can trap water and other "normal" driving things like mud and dirt in them. They benefit because they dissipate heat faster during constant hard braking.

We don't typically do that, even with towing. We do long stretches at highway speeds, not full acceleration, hard brake, full accel, hard brake, etc., etc.

In our cases, a solid rotor puts more contact surface to the pad. After having both, I really didn't notice a difference in the rotors. The pads, however, made a difference. Don't get ceramic unless the vehicle specifies for it, see previous explaination regarding race vs street.

Oh, read up on this. It's mainly a gasket that is causing some people's rear diff to leak oil, running low, and exploderingfying due to lack of oil. I check mine pretty regularly, I gots no leaks.

Not going to lie, you took the words right out of my mouth. I went with regular ol solid rotors from duralast when I swapped mine.

That's good to hear Lee! On a side note, I got a wild hair the other evening and swapped out that needle bearing, not a bad job, little messy took about 2 hours taking my time. I noticed a difference in front end vibes for sure, I'm guessing my truck has always done it so I just lived with it; however its damn smooth now in the lower speeds than before.

So stripped the bolts to the passenger front seat (both). Had 1 in, other wouldn't go. Moved bolt over, now both screwed up.

Most people say M10 x 1.25, any thoughts?

Also, if I have to tap it, would the tap also be that size?

Ya tap it with the bolt size to clean up the threads, if possible. Easiest fix, hopefully you don't need to drill and re-tap

I wasn't planning on getting an STD at Jambo... but pretty sure that RV could get that accomplished.
