    are you sure it's not because you gained some muscle mass to make it happen?

    :notsure::muscleflexing:

    I also improved their trick with the bungee cord thing. I got a second one and replaced the bungee with Paracord with two different lengths.

    You use the bungee cords with the little ball on the end of a loop, if you loop the cord around one of the rubber latch handles the ball fits in the metal hook so you can close the top slightly more while tucking the tent in.

    So I start with the roof just supported by the gas struts and tuck as much material I can on both sides. Then I hook the longer cord loop and tuck in more on either side. Then I hook the shorter loop on the other side to tuck in again. And usually by then I can close it easily.

    There's a lot of back-and-forth but I'm also getting more familiar with how the tent best folds and tucks.

    Like Moogle said, taking some time to see how the tent folds up reduces the physical effort to close it up. Trying to neatly tuck fabric into its proper fold helps a lot. You can even tuck the bottom rain flap up and out of the way I've learned

    I picked up my Habitat this weekend. I really struggled to close it it up so I tried a system that seems to work (particularly if you are solo).

    The included pics of the system I am using (will refine it over time) allows someone to cinch it partially closed by pulling on the cordage handle, tuck in the tent, cinch it some more, tuck in the tent, cinch some more... It is a simple system using a caming device commonly available.

    Very interested to see what other systems are out there.

    Just a note, I've opened and closed it about ten times now. It's a little easier. Another tip (which could have potentially negative ramifications) open all your windows, all the fabric falls into the bed. Using just the ball, I can make it happen. Though, I have to mention that the rubber T-Handles are starting to wear and get cuts in them.

    I've been looking into these and it's really nice to be able to add the floor panels so you can sleep up to 4 adults up top, but damn at a starting price of $8900 for the basic without the options added on that's the price of a new small car!

    If I'm getting one I better be damn sure i'm going camping a LOT to justify that cost.

    Mad expensive but to me this is the apex of Overland setups for a Tacoma. Still want.

    I agree I would in a heartbeat if the minister of finance would approve. But I have other things I have on my list I want to do to the truck before that

    Figured I'd add this here for any other habitat owners who might be interested in this fix/upgrade.

    More pics of mine can be found in my build thread. What suspensions have people put on the rear for the weight of the habitat and kit? Has anyone attached or built out things to the interior walls yet? I was thinking about adding some PVC tubes for fishing poles or something like that and wasn't sure what has been done to kit out the interiors.
