PNW EXPEDITION MEET THREAD

I notice a lot of you folks are out west of me a bit. Anyone towards Vancouver?

I want weekly meets? Hardly kid. My statement was not a complaint of not getting what I want. Because I really don't give much of a fuck for hanging out with smart mouthed punks. But a statement stating my opinion of the idea to start a group and try and grow the group by opening it up to the outside, them want to boot people for not meeting up to have a beer.

This group is not a safe space. There are some smart mouthed punks. Not me obviously. But what's the point of having 500 members if only 40 ever show up to do anything? I believe that's the point of the invite only thing.

 

Correct ben. Instead of having 500 members where only 40 are active. We'd rather have 40 members where all 40 are active

On this active member subject.... What about people (me) who have a side business making offroad protection (Sliders) for you guys, and don't have much free time to go out with the group to meets or events..

I'm hoping to get more free time now that I'm slowing down the side business and trying not to over whelm myself.

 

i looked at the page, we havent banned many yet....i believe its more freeze on acceptance.

 

It's extremely hard to effectively organize a group in a day where many only care about what's in it for them.

I would assume handling questions rationally and case by case/situation by situation basis as opposed to massively irrational demands and interrogation for club wide issues would be far easier to handle by the admin of the group, particularly in this time of massive and possibly overwhelming growth.

I'm sure patience and understanding is appreciated, and that everyone is doing the best they can.

 

We are not banning everyone. Just those who aren't ever active. Those who join and never post. Never meet. We want to just hold off on adding new members until we see who's active and who isn't.
