Have a 98 tco xtracab 4x4 that I want to lift. It has new stock front springs and shocks. Needs
    new leaf springs.
Front I want to go bilstein 5100's with the stock springs.
Back should I go with Wheelers 8 leaf, 1.75″-2″ of lift or OME Dakar Series Springs, provide approximately 2.25″ lift. and bilstein 5125 shocks

    Thanks

Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
If you don't lift the front you'll have a huge rake to your pickup. There are loads of suspension topics on leaf springs. The consensus states that most lift leaf springs jack the truck way up. Some people modify the lift packs. Some packs have left and right springs etc. Good luck on your search!

I went with the Deaver 8pack leafs. After settling, I have a bit more than 2" of lift, and comfortable too.

Be prepared to deal with the 'Taco lean' after install.

    Good luck.

When I realized just how crappy and worn out the stock suspension was on the pristine 2004 RC 4X4 I bought from my dad I went with OME 880's and springs in the front. OME Nitrochargers in the rear and Deaver J59 leaf springs.

They ride slightly harsh up front but the rear is really nice. I am much older than many on this site so "harsh" might be just fine for others. I'd love to find a front spring and shock that would ride as good as what I have in the rear.

If you don't carry more than about 500lbs regularly I'd go with the Deaver's. If you load really heavy then go with something else like the Dakar's. OME's are designed for carrying weight so if you want "bullet proof" that's what I would go with if your packing a lot of weight.

Actually, I really don't care about the "Bro Lean" but I have noticed that since my new suspension has worn in the truck seems to have a lean towards the drivers side. I guess I'd better measure and see if I do have the "Bro Lean" and then decide if I want to fix it or not. I've got Deaver J59's and OME 880's up front with Nitrochargers all around.

I'm too old to really use the "Bro Lean" term but I find it quite entertaining non-the-less.:D

I'm not sure hat Bro Lean is, but Taco Lean is curable.

I disassembled what was left of my DS OEM spring pack. I measured the perch and matched it to the overload spring, cut it to size and added to the bottom of the DS Deaver leaf pack. Done.

    Good luck OP.

Bro Lean is the same as Taco Lean. The surfin' Bro's use that term. A lot of "bro's" own taco's.
