In a perfect world people could study what they want without having to worry about making a decent living. No such thing as a perfect world though!

For my senior project I am designing a solid state magnetic ride suspension system to replace traditional Struts. Is it likely to be the next big thing? No, but if this forum has taught me anything about people is that you guys are willing to put down thousands of dollars for cool shit...and physics makes cool shit lol.

    Hardcore off road floor mats!
It costs .61 cents a mile for you to drive. That's driving 15k a year. Starts going up after that. This includes maintence, fuel, wear, insurance & other basic expenses.

So, if you're not making at least three times that. You're loosing money, but you're still not making minimum wage. Reason why taxis are expensive.

Also, you'll need a taxi permit & I'd let your insurance know what you're doing. Uber says they have enough insurance, but i wouldn't hold my breath. And if something does happen and your insurance finds out you were using your vehicle like a taxi & they didn't know. They coukd tell you to 'F' off and it's your problem.

From everything I've heard, read, & people I've talked to. You don't make shit for money. Plus you're a contractor, so taxes & SS doesn't come out of your check. So, you'll pay 25% of each pay towards that come time to file for taxes. What happens if you don't have the money to pay? Tuff shit...
