    I don't understand why this is suddenly such an issue. I get that Massa got hit with a spring almost a decade ago but I mean why not make the helmets stronger? That's really the only thing that's out of the car. Put a light piece of plexiglass guard over a helmet like hockey players have on their skates.

    IMO its more of a safety issue to have them installed as they already have issues with getting out of the car without something extra. Think of a car fire. I see that being a bigger safety issue than some part falling and 1 in 10000000000000 chance of hitting a driver in the head at 300km/h. And the heads are barely out of the car as it is. It's supposed to be open cockpit racing, these guys know the dangers.

    PS: Very happy to see those hideous shark fins going next year. They were getting to be rediculous. A wing on a fin to condition air for a wing? I mean come on now.

    They did make the helmets stronger after Massa's accident

    and Henry Surtees and Justin Wilson

    and one could add Jules Bianchi but even the Halo may not have helped him

    I think Honda will make big gains in reliabiliyy and performance during this season but by the time it does it won't really matter because both drivers will be regularly taking grid place penalties for using too many engine components

    I just want to see Alonso in a competetive car
