Am I missing some parts here?

I just bought a 2007 PreRunner yesterday with 99k miles on it. Looking at pictures of stock engines I see that I am missing some parts. The previous owner installed this K&N intake, is this going to cause issues down the road? The truck runs fine and we have no inspections here. There is a hose coming from what I assume is the pcv that goes to nothing.

If it would be best to put it back stock I will go to a yard and get the parts.

edit: after watching a vid I see now that the pcv is on the driver side, so I have no idea what that hose is.

The air pump Maybe? Mine is a 2012 but the air pump was right where the intake went.

Looks like you're just missing the engine cover? Not sure if it had to be removed to fit the intake? It actually helps to cut the engine noises a little bit since it has a thin layer of insulation.

The air pump is what I've been seeing in pics. I just assumed the previous owner removed it. So my 2007 isn't supposed to have one? I'm still curious what that hose is coming out of the passenger side cam cover. You can't see it in the pic but it's right under the air intake hose, it just goes right out into open air.

Yeah I figured the engine cover muffles injector noise, etc. , but this truck has an aftermarket Dynamax exhaust that pretty much drowns it out anyways. It's not loud, but has a nice growl.

Since I have an 07 prerunner also, your saying a hose vents directly out into atmosphere. Shouldn't the pcv hose dump back into the k&n intake or is there already one doing that? Better photos?

Maybe i'm going out on a limb, i've never seen that before, was that a hack crankcase breather? And shouldn't that dump somewhere? Someone else has got to help because I've never seen that... Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough

Hmm, I'm not sure how I could do that unless I drill out a hole in the aftermarket intake and use some type of adapter.

I just noticed a nipple on the intake where I can connect the hose, for some reason it was plugged off with a bolt. I just need to get some longer hose.

That is part of the crankcase ventilation system. Below is the normal air flow for the crankcase ventilation system.

Air from the intake >>> Hose >>> Passenger side valve cover >>> Crankcase >>> Drivers side Valve Cover >>> PCV Valve >>> Intake.

That hose was just sucking in unfiltered air into the crankcase. Not a good idea.
