Man it's great to see all the excitement on this thread when people get their new pros, I got mine almost 9 months ago and I'm still as excited every time I walk out into my garage and see "Stella" ...the wife named my truck

So with all the recent hubbub about the impending rear diff recall on Tacos, I figured I would ask fellow Pro owners if they are on the recall list.

Quick browsing seems to indicate that the problem is limited to SR/SR5/Sport models and Off Road and Pros are unaffected since we have the rear locker. Yet there are a bunch of photos of OR trucks with seemingly leaky diffs.

I just checked my own VIN online, no recall for me, Cement Pro MT. Also checked out the rear diff today, no visible leaks, but my truck has less than 800 miles.

I'll be asking the dealer to check my diff for sure either way on my first service. Just another item to add to the list.

    Anyone else?

Just received call from dealership: Cement TRD Pro 6MT has been allocated to them (for me). Told it will be delivered 5/17. Deposit placed 4/7. Feeling rather fortunate.

No leakage or issue's on mine...Just turned 5K, and also just did my 5K service @ dealer this morning. I mentioned the recall, and they ran my VIN which isn't on the list. I checked last night, so knew it wasn't going to show up. Dealer wouldn't do anything else of course. I suggested checking the nuts, but unless on recall good luck getting them to do anything.

Lol. I made a deposit 5 weeks ago for the same truck. No call for me.

When does your dealer normally start talking with you guys? I am 5 weeks in and no emails or phone calls with any updates.

The dealer should be able to run Vehicle Tracking log that shows Estimated and Actual dates for production, rail departure, rail arrival, dealer delivery etc... Have them run one for you. Note that mine was delayed about 4 weeks from estimated dates so there may be issues.

    Edit: Here's my tracking log

I was originally told 10 to 12 weeks. What was your total time from deposit to delivery?

I made the deposit in early February, but they already had an allocation and knew the production date was 3/9.

OK I gotcha. I am not exactly sure how the entire process works. I will be calling my dealer tomorrow to ask for that report.

I would definitely make sure they already have an allocation for your truck. There's plenty of dealers that will happily take a deposit without an allocation. This means you could be waiting many many months for the dealer to even receive an allocation, and some smaller dealers only get 2-3 TRD Pros per year.

So wait... dealers can only get a few of these a year, and I could be waiting even longer than the 3 months I was told? I will be checking into that tomorrow for sure.

    Thanks
