56K Canadian out the door, picked it up on thurs night....sat morning the drivers side window falls off it's track...can't get it to go up or down...stuck about 3/4 into the door..takes it to the dealer, dealer has to order part(s)..won't arrive untill tues..he gets a loner......drove it 1.5 days before an issue..........see, our Tacoma's arent so bad!!!:amen:

Ive had a dodge truck and will always have one. Stuff happens, although my 46re has 110k and will still chirp 2nd and spin from a 40 roll with zero repairs on truck, unlike most naysayers who have never owned one. Both have their quirks along with my 14 yota bought brand new.

Anything can happen to a new vehicle, look at the guy on here that had a bad engine right away.

RAM, aren't they the trucks with the stupid dial shift for the transmission?

I also believe they are the only full size you can still get a manual trans in.

Rams are good trucks, I'd be interested in buying one over a new Tacoma which haven't proven themselves to be any better. My dad has a 2012 with over 160K and only one thing has needed replacement, a transmission solenoid. That Hemi also has loads of power.

I want to like the 3rd gen, they look good inside and out and I'm a big Toyota fan. I really hope these trucks get the issues smoothed out soon and don't have even worse ones in the future.

Only with the cummins and they decrease power compared to the auto.

Probably should have been threaded in the General Automotive section, not 3rd gen.

Oh, there's a lot wrong with me. It all started back in 1986 when my par.... Oh, you don't wanna go that far back?

Short story - I was dropped a few times, ate some old timy paint off the house, played with that liquid silver stuff.

And don't come into a forum and post a link to a foreign truck and say 'My buddy bought this' and expect a intelligent response.

It won't do it. Just about every auto shifter built today is 100% electronic and wouldn't allow a destructive or damaging action. This design takes up less real estate and accomplishes the same task.

What? Then following suit to your comment, all 4R, Tundras, Ford's, Chevy's, FJ's, FJ-80's etc. are hereby shunned from "TACOMAWORLD". Gosh you're uptight, sleep well, maybe you'll think better in the morning... We accept everyone here, that's the point. And here we go with the elementary response "If you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all" plain and simple

Wow...just wow...some people are touchy...ok ok..you win.......I will go back to finding something shitty about my Tacoma and post about.....sorry, I figured If I was joining a Tacoma forum it was because we actually like our rides and tried to be involved in a like community.....just wanted to share a light hearted story about another truck to generate some appreciation for our daily drivers...my bad.

I just wouldn't be throwing rocks in glass houses... that's all I'm saying. We have enough problems with our Third Gens.
