This is awesome work here. Looking forward to seeing it finished, and then somehow selling enough things to afford one.

Thank you! Wish I could take credit for it, but the flatbed fabricator, camper builder, and @Iggy had a lot of input with the logistics. I really wished both fabricators were closer to my home or work so minor modifications could have been made, but I'm extremely happy with the results.

Getting to this point was sort of like upgrading homes. I bit the bullet with the Flippac. The sale paid for the majority of the 4wc. The sale of that paid for the majority of this one.

I really believe in this basic principle:
    • Cheap
    • Fast
    • High quality
    Pick 2.

Between the two fabricators, my truck was gone for over 3 months. It would have cost significantly more to have it done quickly. And it's still not finished...

When I saw your camper I was (still am) in awe. I've been doing a lot of google searches of Ute tray camper. Australia has so much amazing stuff.

I also subscribe to that principle, which is why I am doing a basic setup w RTT now. I do eventually want to do a full flatbed / tray setup like yours. I do have the ability to create such a thing, but as all things, now that I have that skill set, I do not have the time.

Regardless, awesome setup, and the finished product will be a thing to take in for sure. Hopefully I can see it in person at some point and pick up some pointers.

Got a CMC yesterday courtesy of @Bentrodder.

Picked up some gusseted spindles too. Just want to clear coat these...such beautiful beads.

They go on with the 4.88's starting Tuesday. I'm really torn with the choice of 4.88's (vs. 4.56's) since I've only been tooling around the Bay Area and the 3.73's with 35's are fine. Especially with the 6-speed. 2200 rpms at 70mph. I know I'll love the 4.88's in the mountains and offroad, but hwy 5 is going to suck...

Fair price, great welds, and TW express is usually in full effect.

I have 4.88's and run 315/70's and its not too bad around town and on the highway, its nice to have a little extra gear when you need it off the beaten path though.
