Over the last two months I've been trying my best to try to find some kind of rack system to go over the OEM cover. I've seen a lot of hard-core crossbars, but the problem with those as you always have that huge tall vertical mounting bracket on your truck. Luckily somebody pointed out the low-profile brackets that work with any standard bike rack gutter system... and I love it!

Good post. I, too, have had this same ongoing search. I do like how the KB Voodoo risers have the thumb knobs for easily removing the crossbars. On trips, I would still need to be able to remove those bars and get at all the crap I'd be carrying under that tonneau. :D

This is all LOCKED with a key to my truck also. No knobs or allens. Lock and key! All I do is undo the four locks that attached to my truck and the whole rack itself comes off and one solid big piece!

aahh.... nice. How do the low-pro gutter mounts attach inside the bed? Any pics of that?

Rad as hell. Here, I've been thinking about finding some scrap angle iron, and making one. Perfect!

Kinda nice, but wish the cover could be opened and closed without having to remove the bikes or the rack.

    - I can still store stuff in my bed without it being stolen? It takes two minutes to take the bike rack off and then access my cover if I really need it. Lol. I'm never really opening up my Tonnele cover completely, if there ever is a time where I have to move anything or haul anything, the cover comes off completely anyway. Lol

The whole set up is from Yakima... those are frontloader bike holders, 66" roundbars, and A1 Raingutter towers.

I wonder if my Whispbars have landing pads to go with those mounts.

I was thinking more of extra gear that could be accessed for the same recreational purpose. I thought about a kayak mount on top of my cover, but decided, it was too cumbersome to easily access the ice chest, or my backback without removing the kayak. I decided to mount one end of the kayak on the roof via Yakima mount and the other to an elevated hitch mount. This allows for complete unimpeded access to any gear without having to mess with the kayak. But your setup does have some purpose.

Where did you get the brackets that attached to the bed rails? Awesome Setup.

    CM-NT – CARGO-MANAGEMENT BRACKET SYSTEM

I bought a set this winter after I bought my 2020 TRD Sport. I have a pile of yakima rack equipment from previous rides. It's low profile fits under the factory cover attached to the bed rails. It's a pricey solution but, i have no regrets. Everything is locked up tight and removable in 5 minutes with 1 key. I keep the brackets on all time.

Its really slick. Thank you for forwarding the link. I just got a 2020 TRD Sport myself with the factory tonneau cover as well. Looks like it's well worth it!! Much appreciated!!
