Any recommendations for a yellow halogen H11 fog bulb?
Amazon has a Nokia and Hella versions for about $20.
    Not interested in LED.

Thanks- yeah I saw those optilux, too. Not looking for performance. Just wanna get something in to hopefully help with fog/snow viz. My main concern is it melting the OEM lenses. I'll prob just try out those Hella's.

    I used the nokya.

Word of advice, reuse the oem foglight bulbs rubber grommet. Take it off the bulb and set aside. Remove grommets from whatever yellow bulbs u get. Install the oem grommets on new bulbs.

Its a trick i learned about 12yrs ago?

Its common and if u dont do that, the odds of the new bulbs not sealing well and water/condensation forming in the housing is high. Sometimes they dont even wanna lock in place.

Ive been using using the hyper yellows for about 3 years now and they work very well in the fog. Sorry, no snow in Alabama.

I had Nokya yellows in my fogs and low beams on my Tundra. Very happy in poor visibility issues.

Having used both Nokya and Optilux, I recommend getting Optilux as it outputs a darker more prominent yellow than Nokyas, which are still yellow but light enough that from far away they can be mistaken as stock bulbs.

I forgot to mention that Optilux is a brand by Hella, like how Scion is a brand by Toyota. I've been running the same pair of Optilux bulbs since September 2013 and I have no issues of melting. The sun's UV rays will do more damage to the lens over time.

Ditto what @inwood customs said about using the rubber ring from the stock bulb.

Thanks. How's the color on those? Is it like a neon/lemon yellow? Or is it more like gold/orange reflector yellow?

Ha thanks for this- I responded previously before I saw your first post. Yep, I was wanting the darker color. Brightness isn't a concern. It's mostly for near distance viz where color is more important then brightness IMO.

Here's how the Optilux yellow looks like.

This was when I first had Nokya. I did a side by side comparison for a Nokya and stock H11 bulb. You can see that the Nokya bulb puts out a light yellow.IMG_1011.jpg

This is what I did to mine and I was very happy when I finished. Very nice yellow glow. Amazon is your friend for less than $20.

Or you could just paint your fog lenses with Gold metalcast. If you don't want to paint them directly then use a clear cover and paint that. You then could control how yellow you want them to be and just buy a decent clear bulb.

It's strange because some Nokya's I've gotten have a much thicker yellow coating so it looks much more yellow. My bike has a Nokya H7 for low beam and H11 for high and even though the brand is the same the H7 is much more yellow.. see how the H7 on the right is more of a golden brownish
