im going nuts. 2017 Tacoma 2.7 access cab 500miles on it. When I accelerate 2600-3200 rpm I'm getting a buzzing slight knocking noise that sounds like it's coming from behind the right side of the dash. Spent 4 hours at one dealer and 2 hours at another. Both dealers hear the noise but have no idea what it is. Has anyone else had this type of problem?

It's the speaker under the A pillar, on the dash. Stick a toothpick between the speaker's grille and frame on A pillar side.

Wow, what a shame I wasted 6 hours in dealer waiting rooms and all I got was some idiot telling me they need to remove the dash next week. Not to mention the forgot to hook my backup camera back up today.
5 minutes on Taco world and a toothpick and the noise is gone.

I have a thread on this with pics too. A little more involved with removing A pillar, but no rattles or buzz since.

I had the same problem, once i popped off the speaker grill under the windshield i noticed the speaker connectors were touching plastic. Electrical tape wrapped them and problem solved. Make sure u dont break a clip on the grill

Update: I took it into a dealer today. The passengers speaker cover was one of the problems the other was the Y connection of the 2 center AC outlets. That was also making noise also.
    All good now.:taco:

If it's a minor buzzing noise at certain RPM's and it sounds like it's coming from the glove box area, your problem is a bundle of wires under the glove box. Look down there, to the right you'll see a big bundle of wires covered in some type of black tape. Buy some zip ties, tighten the bundle up, especially in the back of the bundle. It took me almost 8,000 miles to fix this, and the buzzing had been driving me crazy to the point that I thought I was going to have to get rid of the truck.

K-BRO-2s FTW! bro just sayin...

Rattle is fixed by removing the passenger side handle on the A-pillar and adding in some fresh insulation... the same stuff thats already in there.

My tech "looked it up" and figured it out... maybe he looked up the fix right here! My problem was solved in 45 minutes and oil and filter change. Forgot to lube tho... so 75% of 100% is still an A in my book!

I was happy to drive today without the noise. Then just before I get home I look at the speedo and think wow I'm flying. Then realized the speedo was reading 20mph to fast. I guess it's back to the dealer on Monday. I really hope the problems are just minor bugs.
