Bought one of these new gas cans and it doesn't work worth a crap. It's the kind with the twist lock mechanism on the spout. First time I used it gas poured through the locking mechanism all over my hands and my mower. Now it won't pour at all. I wish I could just drill out the frikken thing so it pours like a normal old one. Anyone had success modding this pos?

There is a company (EZ Pour) that makes a kit to modify the "safety" cans. It includes an old style nozzle and a vent. You drill a hole in your can and push the vent into place. Then like magic, you have a new old style can.

I would return it and try a different style.
