So long story short. I'm meeting my Mom in Blanding on Mother's Day. She's on a cross country trip from Tennessee to California. I'm in N. Arizona.
She text me today to let me know. So I have about 72 hours to plan a back country route and 48 hours to pack and once over my "traveling solo backcountry check list". I have multiple Maps and GPS programs.

Does anyone have any suggestions of desolate routes within 100 mi of Blanding? I'm also planning a trip to Southern Utah on the Southern Utah Traverse Trail in July-August. And I'd really like to take in the territory, as I've never been to Utah.

I appreciate any recommendations. BTW, a really big plus is if there's water sources along the route.

    TIA
