They Fd themselfs trying to make the drone and ignoring the thing that made them famous

 

their cameras are also so resilient a lot of them are still working. They sorta flooded the market cuz now the new cameras don't have that many features to make it worth upgrading

 

Last I checked GoPro'a stock was down 83% doesn't surprise me they are running a trade up program to earn a few more bucks. Shame they kind of dug their own grave unfortunately. Good post though I actually may trade my wife's hero 3 in and get her a 5!

 

A GoPro is one of those things I've always wanted but never bought purely because I know once I bought it I would use it 4 or 5 times and then it would reside in a closet somewhere for the rest of eternity. I don't typically take much video but do find myself using my cell phone a ton to take pictures, I'd imagine the vast majority of the population is in the same boat. With the quality footage you can get on most phones it's hard to justify picking up another device. If I was sky diving and whitewater rafting every weekend it would totally be worth it... but unfortunately my life is pretty boring.

 

Can't you get more than $100 bucks selling it third party, then use that money towards the 5?

 

So just tried it. Looks like you can send in multiple cameras but it only allows you to trade in one camera per transaction.

 

$249 and $299?? Why not keep your GoPro and buy the hero 5 from Best Buy or target? The heo 5 session is on sale at target for $199 and the regular one is $299 at bestbuy. ...

 

I considered this as well...Considering I have a 3 with a ton of extra accessories to go with.
