NFA wait times and BS thread

I had an original Liberty Mystic, and recently had it upgraded to a Mystic X. Now that the X is rated to 300WinMag, it really is a do everything can.

Here it is in a $35 Pelican case with some adapters:


Here it is on a 9mm SBR:


Here it is on a precision AR in .223:


And on a 15-22:


After 510 rounds total tonight, 350 .22lr, it came apart easily. The only problem is my .308 isn't threaded. Yet.

 

Bumpy bump

Called ATF today and still pending since April 6th and there is about a 10-11 month wait from there. Time to buy an SB tactical brace

 

So I called the ATF today to check on this.... it was approved May 13th, never heard a peep from the dealer.

so the timetable ended up being:
Order placed 05/30/16
Form 3 approved 10/17/16
Form 4 approved 05/13/17

 

Very nice! So we're looking at about a year for form 1 and 4 which is what the ATF lady told me

 

I don't understand the wait you guys are having my cousin just got his form 1 and 4 back that was submitted in Nov of 16......

 

So uh you gonna send my form 1 to your contact too?

 

It's absurd how long it takes them to do these forms. What a joke. They're totally Fing with people.

 

lol..... My cousin lives in Tampa I'm in DC he sent his in once approved through the Sheriffs office which was 6 weeks. I just talked to my buddy and he is saying everything is on a 4-6 month track for approval.....

 

That would be amazing! So it's 4-6 months after the next 6 months

 

I don't think they are fucking with anybody my buddy just sent me this link with the new wait times as of June 2016 that were posted....

He also said unless there is some red flag that flies and more background checking is needed they're going out in 4-6 months and even then it's only adding 30 days...

I'm a dealer so I get my stuff in just a few weeks, but I do have to pay the $500 extortion money every year. Most of my customers stuff comes back in about 11 months right now.

 

What part of the Country are you guys in?

they also went from 9 to 30 processing centers late last year early this year to reduce wait for the private sector....

I know the 2M that was sent in by SC fucked them up as they went to one processing center

 

So Aug/Sept/Oct should be normal wait time

That's what ideas thinking for time line but I won't count on it.

It was paper because of 41f
