My key fob has been been working intermittently for a long time. I've changed batteries 2 times, opened and "cleaned" the switches etc. Time for a new one, and not feeling like spending $75.00 for a new on at the stealership I ordered one on Amazon.
The Vendor is the Remote Store. Replacement for gq43vt20t. $ 11.70 !!!! It looks exactly the same as factory and was easy to program. Here are the steps as listed on programyourremote.com,

    1. Start with the key out of the ignition, drivers door is open all others closed and
    drivers door is unlocked.

    2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.
    A. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.
    B. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.

    3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
    A. Close then open the drivers door.
    B. Close then open the drivers door.
    C. Insert the key into the ignition(Do NOT Turn) Pull key out.

    4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
    A. Close then open the drivers door.
    B. Close then open the drivers door.
    C. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in ignition.
    D. Close the drivers door.
    E. Turn the ignition to ON (Do NOT Start) then back to OFF.
    F. Remove the key from the ignition.

    5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically
indicating successful entry into programming mode.
Return to step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.

    6. Perform these steps within 40 seconds.
    A. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remtoe simutaneously for 1.5 seconds.
    B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons,
Press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds, the door
locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming. If
the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote was
    not accepted.
    C. Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote.

    7. Open drivers door.

It was easy to do, I hope this helps anyone not wanting to get ripped off

I'm interested to know how you figured this all out...this reminds me of the Super C code for nintendo...up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,A,B,A,B,start,select. But seriously, how did you figure this out?

Tony, I went to the website that was supplied with the key fob. It is programyourremote.com, I just copied and pasted their instructions into my post :) ( individual results may vary )

How was the setup for this one? I'm trying to get another one since mine only came with one key and one fob. I'm cheap though since I compare everything to how many boxes of diapers I just could have bought.

If I understand you correctly, just enter your truck info to see what they have for it. I looked at 15 models, and they have fobs, but no key, they can be found at some locksmiths. I would think if they have a blank, they can cut and program it to the truck as well. I've heard this route is much cheaper than a dealer.

...i had purchased the same 2 pack several years ago, and then again, maybe 6 months ago., and did wonder the same thing.....who devised that programming sequence..... ....my experience, they don't last as long as the originals, but for the money, it still more than made sense, cost wise. ....and to be fair, mine get used excessively and i inspect property for a living, and am in and out of the truck, and in unfamiliar, and sometimes sketchy, neighborhoods, and with tools in the truck, so it gets used far more than it would with most....
