eBay 'TRD' manual shifter knob

I hate the hard plastic shift knob on my Base. Anybody roll the dice and try one of these out?

 

7 bucks? sheesh what do you have to lose?

 

LOL... Well, 7 bucks or so! Just wondered if anyone else had already tried. Unclear if these actually fit, description says 'no screw threads inside' so don't know if there is a set screw, etc.

 

Appears to be a 'sock'...is it an actual knob?

I have a OEM TRD version in my 89 and it's very nice. Weighted for smoother shifts. No idea if that is a cheap chinese copy or what.

 

Says "Shift Knob Hole: approx. 1cm / 0.39" "no need use any tools, just insert and go" but not many other details.
Love how some of the pics are mirror image, haha.

 

Saw those, good look... but wanted something grippier.

 

It has a plastic insert that will deform when you screw it on and create its own threads.
