I tried searching this thread, and apologize if I completely missed this. Can someone please help me?

I'm trying to measure a new axle for my trailer so that it matches the tacoma 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern, and want to get more of the OEM TRD OR wheels to match. Is it stated anywhere what the OEM TRD OR wheels stats are? I'm trying to find the center bore and the offset and backspacing so that it will have the same stance as my stock TRD OR, and may need to buy custom spacers to get the center bore right. My axle will have a hubface to hubface measurement of 60 inches (can go 59 possibly).

I show the 2017 Taco is supposed to have front/rear track of 63.0/63.2, so depending on how much of the wheel extends beyond the axle here I can get the trailer pretty close.

    Thanks!

I was totally on this page, and all I saw was a metric offset (25mm), which I don't really understand what to do with. Maybe that's my problem.
Size RIM SIZE Offset LUG PATTERN
    265/70R16 7Jx16 ET25 6x139.7

Rim size means 7 inches wide, 16 inch diameter with a positive offset of 25mm

Wheel Offset: Distance between wheel mounting surface where bolted to hub of drum and centerline of rim.

Since the wheels are 7 inches wide, and the positive offset is 25mm (basically 1 inch) which means the 7 inch thick wheels will have approximately (give or take the thickness of the mounting surface of the wheel) 4 inches that overlap with the axle, and 3 inches that stick out beyond the end of the axle's hub face? So that means that with the Taco's rear track of 63.2 inches, the hubfaces on the rear axle are actually about 63 inches apart?

Here use this to figure your Back space in inches
    IMG_1321.GIF
A 7" rim is going to be actually 8 because of the lip
    So a 7" rim with 25 offset is a 5" back space
Do your math based on this

Does anyone know if there is a size/spec difference from Stock steelies and the alloy rims for a 2nd gen? I have googled wheel sizes, and searched TW and can seem to find the diffrences between the two. Thanks for the help!

0 offset, stock size tires, perfect fit. (Stock size tires is because I'm pulling a 3000# trailer 90% of the time)

Ok, after finish reading this book (aka this thread) I still don't have the offset and back spacing 100% figured out. But from what I have seen i think I can make a pretty good guess as to what I need. Just need some expertise to confirm or deny. I have a 13' trd sport with fully stock suspension, and this is what I am looking a running.

    Pro comp 5001, 17x9, offset: 6.6, backspace:4.75 with Nitto Terra Grapler G2 265/70 17.

Does any one see any issue with this set up or should I be running the 17x8, offset: 0, backspace: 4.5 with the same tire? I would prefer to do any cutting to make it fit. I appreciate any help.

PnoyBOS5, what was the verdict on these. Did you order them up? If so any problems, also what size tire were you running with them. I'm looking at the same wheel, but looking at some 265/70r17 trying to find out if they will rub? Thanks

I don't know if this link has already been shared but I found it this morning and it helps a lot to understand and compare wheel offset. Opinions on it are also welcome to know if it is legit. I personally don't know much about wheel offset and backspacing.

    Hello All,

Looking at some 18x9 with a 18mm offset for my off road 3rd gen. Will these fit well or will they stick in too much and what tire size on stock off road suspension will work? All the help greatly appreciated.

    Hey guys,

Right now I'm running 285/75-16 bfg ats on my stock rims with 1.25" spacers. Truck is an 08 double cab with a 3" toytec suspension lift. With my current setup I hardly have any scrubbing at all. I'm about to order some fuel boosts 16x8 4.5" BS. I've read through all of this and I'm pretty sure if I ditch the spacers 4.5" BS is what I need. Just want to be sure before I spend the money. Also how much worse do y'all think my scrubbing will be? Preciate any input.

Are you wanting to know scrub radius or if they'll rub?
As is, your current setup has 4" of backspace.

Thanks for your response. Really just want to know how bad it's gonna be scrub wise and confirmation this is the correct BS I need if I want to ditch the spacers
