I just put some led lamps in some aftermarket headlights and also replaced fog lights with led. They worked for a few minutes as I cycled through high, low and with, and without foglights. Then I drove down the road and things got screwy. The passenger side low beam now does not work, but high beam does. And the foglights only work on high beam. The driver's side high and low work fine. So basically on low beam, only the driver's lamp comes on. And on high they all come on. The passenger high beam 10a fuse was blown. But the foglight 15a fuse was still good. I did notice a big relay for foglights, but I don't know how to check it. These leds are the equivalent of the respective halogen sizes. I also think the lamps are fine because they are single mode, with the projector shutter adjusting for high and low. I think I may have wires touching on the passenger side causing it to short.

The thing is that I had the foglights on for a week with no problem, before the heads came in. So my thoughts are this. Since my fogs do not come on independently (can't come on without hi or lo beam also on), maybe since the passenger low is shorted out it's not allowing the circuit to be complete that allows the foglights to come on. Because when on high beam both headlamps work, the fog lights will come on. So I guess my starting point should be to replace the blown fuse and tape all connections good to keep them off the frame and touching each other, then see how it works? I know this is more of my thoughts typed out but I have minimal electrical knowledge and think I can fix it if my above thinking is right. I just wanted to see if i was headed in the right direction before paying somebody for something that's probably simple.
