Small ports on exhaust manifold

    6” procomp. Large coil springs. Cold air. Port and polished head and throttle body. Exhaust. Positraction. Shaved and reinforced tailgate. Camper shell. Piaa fog. 5% tint all around. Stereo 2-12” 2-6x9” 2- 5 1/4” 4400 Watts 20 ferrets. Much more
    Currently I'm working on porting and polishing my cylinder head for my 05 2.7l. I have searched far and wide for the function of the small 1/4" ports that come out of the head on the exhaust side. What do these actually do and is it better to leave them or plug them up?

    They’re actually for the egr system.
