Warranty is nice for peace of mind but we have a 2009 Pre-Runner with 120K so far and a 2010 4Runner 4x4 with close to 130K and both had zero issues. Only thing replaced was brake pads on both and 4Runner had one rear blown shock (SR5) so I replaced all with 5100's. We also had a 2007 FJ that had 90K miles when traded in and also had zero issues.

 

I still haven't gotten a reply. What a bummer.

 

Isn't that the truth. Over month and a half. But whatever. Found one in new York. I'll pm u.

 

Just curious - did y'all follow up with him in that time or did you just send one email?

I'm new to this forum. I called Toyota Financial Services on 2 different occasions in the last 3 months. Each time I called I got a different rep and they all told me the same story. You can buy a genuine VSA service agreement out of state. What they would like you to do is visit the dealership where you purchase the agreement. They stated that the dealership needs to see the car and to verify the mileage. Because I live in Georgia and you cannot get the VSA in GA, SC, AL, FL , they suggested I contact one of the dealerships in another state close by.

However, after reading the posts in this forum, I decided to contact Brian of Pederson. He has emailed me back with the information for my 2016 Rav4 including prices, including the 10 year warranty, which I want, as well as the process to proceed. His prices were very low. At this time I am waiting for the next step.

As I asked above, did you just send one email or did you try multiple emails?

I imagine he's probably pretty busy with his day job plus the internet inquiries; I know I've missed emails or voicemails on busy days. I see it and get interrupted with some other crisis before I get a response written... then forget to go back to it, and since it's not marked un-read I don't realize I've dropped the ball. (I try to minimize it happening, but over the years it does happen sometimes)

 

Two. One back on the 10th or so (during his busy time as you noted), but then another ~4 days ago. No replies.

 

see my earlier post. Okay, here is an update. B Hyman and I emailed back and forth about the ext warranty and got everything going, last email he asked for my information and said he would send me a contract and payment instructions for the Toyota Platinum Extended warranty. That was 3 weeks ago. Never heard or received anything from him since then. I did send a "what's up" email 2 days ago and so far I have heard nothing. I think we may all need to find someone else. Someone on another forum gave me a name of a sales manager in MI who apparently sells the warranties at about the same price as J Johnson. Has anyone heard back from B. Hyman?

 

I got my warranty from him. Slow process but worth the savings. My thought was the truck is covered under the manufacturer's original warranty so what's the worry or rush.

 

I talked to Brandon and he initiated all the paperwork for me. I received it in the mail a few days later. Now time to pay up and I'm good. He even allowed me to pay the price he quoted me several months earlier. Great guy to deal with. I agreee that it can be aggravating to get in contact with someone but it's worth being persistent.

Anyone heard from Brian Hyman about the extended warranty lately? I got the contract, returned it and now no more response. That was over 3 weeks ago. However he did tell me in the middle of May that there were some Toyota reps that were trying to stop him from selling out of state. Anyone heard antrying ?
