So I was pretty stoked on my 2013 Tacoma, gets good milage, can tow pretty well. I am looking to get some upgrades to my suspension and from what I understand, there is a pretty big difference in my Base model vs other prerunner 4 bangers. I was wondering if the community could help me with what these differences are. For example Ive tried purchasing lifts, bilstein 5100's, hellwig front sway bar, and none of them seem to fit my 5 lug truck.

any help or advice would be appreciated! thanks in advance

*edit:I just found the 5lug forum on my phone, didn't show up on my laptop for some reason.

Thanks that was a big help, ordered bilsteins, with a lift kit today. I'll post pics when it's all done. I plan on doing three stages
    1.lift/suspension
    2.exaust
    3.tires/gears

You might do a little research on LCE headers for the 2.7L 2tr-fe. Everything ive heard about them has been positive and apparently they help with low end torque. Something to consider possibly, especially if already upgrading your exhaust, might as well open things up a little more

I was hoping to get ahold of those but they were not legal in California, which was super disappointing. I settled for the Doug Thorley headers which were. They should be here tomorrow, then going with a flo master ds50. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Just a little info. I run 245/75R16 tires and the engine lugs quite a bit when accelerating. The speedometer and odometer readings are corrected via in-line calibrator. The mechanical fix for this would be to add 4.10 rear gears. The percentage difference of the tire revolutions per mile is around 12.6 percent and going from a 3.58 to 4.10 is within 1% of that difference. This is how the Prerunner 2.7 is set up.
I am planning on regearing the truck when funds are available so I do not have to rely on the in-line calibrator.

DT Headers are nice and will move the torque curve a bit closer to idle. You won't regret it.

Figure out the answers you needed?

We can't run 6 Lug fronts, but we are able to use their rear shocks though(With a rear lift).
