hey, do you guys recommend somehow treating the frame for rust before putting the sliders on or is that a non issue?

The paint that is already on the frame of the truck should hold up just fine.

First of all, good on you for doing research first. I bought sliders before coming here, and they ended up being a pain.

From what I've read here @Mobtown Offroad has some of the best around.

I would also recommend RCI. I have their skid plate and can only imagine their sliders being built to the same quality and standard.

Mobtown. DOM standard and wraps around frame with what i believe has the most connecting hardware running through sliders and frame.

    IMG_2710.jpg

    AND LAST!

Just realized, @RelentlessFab , Are these washers bare or were they coated with something? Otherwise i'm going to have to take em off and paint them or something. what do you guys think?

I did the AllPros through the TW group buy a little while ago. Came raw steel, primed and coated myself. Install was relatively easy and happy with them.

Nice. I'm generally not a fan of kickouts but I like the geometry of those, and the overall look. I approve of your decision to weld over bolt on. I probably won't on this new of a truck, but it's cool as hell.

Mobtown or pelfreybuilt sliders? BAMF are WAY to expensive for a similar slider.

    Haha

Just an FYI, slider lead times are 4-6 weeks depending on options.

I am leaning toward yours. Price seems reasonable and looks good as well.

Where are you seeing BAMF being too expensive? I just priced out BAMF for 80", DOM, w/kickout, bolt on, and powder coated and the price is $835.00. Same configuration from Mobtown is $799. So the $36 difference makes it WAY to expensive?!

$1210 for a 16 DC short bed, with kick out, DOM, power coat, and filler plate.

I'm seeing $1050 for the configuration you stated above on the BAMF site. adding the fill plate onto Mobtown makes theirs $949. So only a $101 difference
