    SOLD

It's time to list my ARE (MX model) truck cap. It came to me with my truck, but I went with a soft top.

OK, here's what is doesn't have going for it:
The paint is in mediocre shape. There are nicks, and chips. Don't be surprised.
The sliding side windows need new screens.
There is no back window (I was quoted $320ish by a local cap dealer, or you could get crafty and rig up your own. I was considering plexiglass before I went a different route)
Rubber window seals could use some updating.

Here's what it does have going for it.
It's an ARE MX cap. The thing is really well built, and there's a lot of room under there.
It's got the sliding pass-through window, sliding and tilting side windows, and the gas shocks still work.
I have the keys for the window locks.

So, I know it's not the nicest, ready-to-go cap. I want it to go to a good home. I'm listing it here before I put it on CL. Bring two nice 6-packs, and it's yours for the taking. I like IPAs. If you want to bring more, I won't stop you...do what you think is best. I'd accept a cash offer too if you're not a beer person.

Nice shell. Still available? I'm interested in the windoors as an upgrade to my failing windoors. Will pay cash so you can buy your favorite IPAs!

Hey PRD, I'm trying to get it out of my buddy's garage. Shipping would probably be rough on the pocket book too. I'll keep you updated if I can't find a local taker for the whole thing.

Little off topic but do you have any details on that rack? Looking to build something similar that allows the windoors to function.

they're just two bed-bars (they seem completely no-name) that PO had. they mounted to plates that were bolted to the bed rails, far enough front and back that they allowed the "windoors" :D to open. I think you'll just be looking for something that has separate front and rear rack bars.

honestly...i think any decent welding shop could make something custom for not too much $$$. there's nothing complicated about some angle iron to go over the bed rails, and square stock for the racks.

or if you're ever in the milwaukee area, you can just come get these...although they're not pretty
