So, I found the clutch dust boot on the driver's side of my transmission popped off entirely:

(Don't like thinking about how long it's probably been that way)
Stuck it back on like this, just to make sure it's covered:

Looking around on the interwebs, it seems maybe I should have it rotated 90 degrees CCW (with the three openings towards the rear), can anyone confirm? @moe2o4 ?
(And yes, I tried searching on TW, but I'm probably not calling it the right thing because I didn't find jack)

Dude I've never even seen this particular boot application before and it's obviously been mashed in the wrong way.

Also google image search "tacoma clutch boot" and I get this as the 4th result.

Go fix it, ya dingus! :p

EDIT: I'm just ribbing you, not trying to actually give you too much shit. I don't understand why you would take a picture instead of trying it in other directions to see if it fit better, though!

No worries, I should have tried a couple different positions. I did have a friend hop in and work the clutch while I was looking at it, seemed like it wanted to stay in place. Also kind of figured vents should maybe point 'downward' for draining, or some such.

Edit - realized I didn't say this - Thank you got the quick confirmation! (Even if it was a confirmation of my dingus status)
