[Vancouver] Trucks and Coffee

Anyone interested in getting together at some local coffee shop to make fun of Fords, sip pretentious coffee, and leak some differential fluids?

I'm thinking a weekday evening - maybe a Thursday?

Ideas for locations? Burnaby? Pitt Meadows? A few options here and there...

 

I'm down. I work in Gastown/Strathcona and live in Langley so really anywhere is good with me lol. Basically 7pm+ I'm good to go. Rotating locations works too.
Byrne Road (Marine Drive in Burnaby) was a regular spot but can get a lil douchey depending on other clubs being there.
Southpoint exchange in South Surrey (hwy 99 and 32nd Ave)
Langley/Walnut Grove @ 88th and 200th theres the shopping centre on the North East corner (can't think of its name off the top of my head)

They've all got Tim's/Starbucks depending on preference and they're pretty highway accessible. Suggestions for Tricities/Richmond/Van areas?

 

I might be in for a cup of java depending on time and date.

 

I know the parking lot at Byrne and Marine - it's a great spot, but unfortunately it was used for a ton of RevScene meetups, and there were a lot of related problems and bad blood, down to lot security not letting modified vehicles enter the lots on Thursday nights (when they held their meetups). I don't want to get associated with anything like that.

There is a Timmies in nearby Queensborough, and while the parking immediately in front of the lot can be a bit tight, there is a Lowes two minutes away, and the far corners of that lot are always empty. We could grab some coffee/whatever at Timmies and migrate to the Lowes lot. Should be pretty low-key.

Not familiar with the other suggeted locations, but am always game to try them out.
There are a few spots in Pitt Meadows that I had in mind, too: this Starbucks could be one, but I don't know how busy that parking lot will be on weekday evenings. There is a also a great, large parking lot at the end of Rannie Rd, next to Pitt Lake. No coffee there, but again, could be brought with.

How about we aim for Thursday, the 25th at 7:30pm in one of these locations? Depending on who's coming and from where.

 

Can we do Wednesday instead maybe? I prebooked myself for Thursday.

 

I'm game for Wednesday, the 24th. Let's do that. But I think we need to get a few more folks to come. Anyone else up for it?

I'm definitely in if the day works for me. But if any of your guys are on Facebook, BC toyota 4wd has meets once in a while as well. They usually meet at the Timmy's on United in Coquitlam.

Timmy's on United is actually a great location. Better than Queensborough as there will be much more room for parking.

You guys game for this coming Wednesday evening at that location? Let's say around 7pm.
